Every time I closed my Internet Explorer a window of send error report always appear and it wastes my time.?windows defender

To remove internet explorer 7 go to "Add or remove programs" in your control panel. Find internet explorer 7 in the list and remove it. You may have to check the "show updates" box at the top of the "add or remove programs" list.

SYSTEM RESTORE

If your computer's operating system is Windows XP, you can do a System Restore. This reverts the computer to an earlier setting. Any programs installed after the restore date will be uninstalled. Your personal data files will not be removed.

1. Go to "Start" %26gt; "All Programs" %26gt; "Accessories" %26gt; "System Tools" %26gt; click on "System Restore".

2. On the Welcome screen, click "Restore my computer to an earlier time", and then click "Next".

3. On the "Select a Restore Point" page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to (the date prior to the Internet Exporer installation) and then click "Next".

4. On the "Confirm Restore Point Selection" page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.

5. Click "Next" if you are ready to proceed or click "Back to change the restore point".

6. The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the "Restoration Complete" page, and then click "OK".

Note that you should only do a System Restore if you have no other programs installed after the Internet Explorer installation. For instance, if you have installed a PC game after your Internet Explorer's installation, executing a System Restore will wiped the game from your computer. If unsure, then do an individual removal of the program.

REMOVE PROGRAM

To remove individual programs:

1. Go to "Start" %26gt; Click on "Control Panel".

2. Click on "Add or Remove Program".

3. Select the correct version of the installed program.

4. Click on the "Change/Remove" button.

ERROR REPORTING

To disable the irritating error report messages that gives you an option to "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send", simply follow the following steps.

1. Go to "Start", right-click "My Computer", and then click "Properties".

2. On the "Advance" tab, click "Error Reporting".

3. Click "Disable error reporting" and clear the "But notify me when critical errors occur" check box.

Help! Internet Explorer Ruined My Internet Fun!?

I installed Internet Explorer 7 awhile back and never had any problems with it until just the other day when windows decided to run it's lovely updates and now everytime I attempt to get on the internet an error page pops up. The only way I can access the internet is through safe mode. Help! If I remove IE 7 will I be able to use the internet? And what is another browser I can use that is more reliable than IE 7?

Help! Internet Explorer Ruined My Internet Fun!?windows live messenger

try to use your system restore, restore it before the update took place. if you uninstall your IE you can reinstall it or use other internet browser like firefox, netscafe, msn exporer etc., by the way removing IE doesn't effect your internet connection, you still can chat on the messenger, download files from p2p but you cannot browse any site without any internet browser.

Help! Internet Explorer Ruined My Internet Fun!?microsoft money internet explorerie7 can be uninstalled via add remove programs-then reinstall. i suggest you run a spybot search and destroy-its afree trojan and spyware program.you have been hacked i am afraid.restoring wont get rid of that, good luck Report It

Go to your Add/Remove programs and find IE7 in the list.

Remove it and your IE6 will be back in place.

http://www.opera.com for the Opera browser
Go back to IE 6 ; MS.com has a removal tool for IE 7.

You might want to see if there is a PC version of SAFARI for good browsing; Ah well, after a searchm looks like Safari is just for MAC at this stage
i suggest getting mozilla firefox its better than IE anyway in my oppinion
You can roll back to IE6. The quickest way is to go to Systems Restore and restore it to a few days back. If you want other browsers then there's a lot out there. Firefox, Netscape, Opera, MSN, etc.
I don't know if you can remove IE7 or not, but don't worry about it. Just don't use it.

Use Firefox instead. You, and everyone else, need to be using it instead anyways.

http://www.getfirefox.com
Ok go back to safe mode, and go to control panel, click on Add/Remove programs. Uninstall IE7 but before you do that, make sure you go to firefox.com and download their internet browser, install it and then uninstall IE7. Restart your computer and you should be up and running again BABY!
With as many IE7 glitches as I've heard about, quite frankly IE6 is a more reliable browser. :-P But, dropping the editorializing and getting to your question ...

If you uninstall IE7 (Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs), your computer will roll itself back to IE6. And yes, you'll still be able to get online.

Another possibility is to download the latest free version of Firefox. But since it looks like IE7 has messed up your connection, you need to get that fixed first.

Still another possibility: do a system restore to a point before you downloaded the latest round of updates. That should get IE7 working again. Then, when Windows once again offers you the updates, use the Custom mode and decline the update for IE7.

Hope that helps. Good luck!
get linux
I myself hate using Internet Explorer, I would recomend Mozilla or Opera as internet browsers (I use Mozilla myself).
If you try uninstall IE7, you'll still have IE6 (assuming you aren't using Vista). That said, I'd suggest moving to either Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) or Opera (http://www.opera.com). Opera's faster and full-featured, but Firefox is more streamlined and feels a bit more like what you've probably used in the past.
Go All Progams . Next Step .. Go Accessories .. Next go Sytem tools and Go Sytem Restore . . U Can Go Bk in time where u installed the new internet or go before dat and use the old internet .. it works .. i had the same problem .. but i downloaded it again den its all fine now ..

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close?

Every 2 minutes, even when IE isn't running, my computer gets an error message saying "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" and when i click ok, it doesnt do anything. All it does is close the error message, and when i leave the computer by itself it keeps stacking the error messages on top of themselves. So if I was to leave it by itself for 2 hours, I would have 60 of these error messages stacked on top of themselves...

Could someone help me out with this problem?

Thanks,

Cameron

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close?opera browser

Hi seems to me like you have a virus or Trojan .. what you should do is install mozilla firefox so you can access the Internet for now.. make sure your virus software is updated and do a full scan..remember that these viruses can still hide in system restore so before you scan turn off system restore...do a full scan for both viruses and spyware.. hopefully this will sort the problem out for you.. as i said use mozille firefox to access the Internet..also remember to turn system restore back on when and if your problem is sorted..Hope this helps..

sounds like you have a virus, check you computer and see what pops up
probably a virus is calling this message, why don't you try getting yourself Kasperky AV to check that out,

I aslso cant upload or move pictures, or delete friends on myspace please help....thank u

Internet explorer always has error at the bottom (the little yellow exclamation point)?windows movie maker

the little yellow exclamation point means that there is error in the script, this could either be javascript or errors in the html.. This will be down to the creators of whatever site your visiting, how they coded in up, normally this could mean poor coding from the creators. Also maybe you should update your internet explorer if your using a old one.

I don't use myspace but am sure someone can help you with that.

Windows Internet Explorer "not responding" Error message, how can you fix this??

Recently my PC keeps getting hung. IE7 keeps saying "not responding" is this a virus?? How do you fix this error??

Windows Internet Explorer "not responding" Error message, how can you fix this??windows media player 11

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html

The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Firefox is crap.

It is very overrated, used mostly by brainwashed, pimply-faced, male adolescent fanboys, who are badly in need of female companionship, and aging hippies with gray ponytails. People of their ilk wouldn't have a clue how to properly secure any browser.

Firefox leaks memory like a sieve.

Besides, most people just want a browser to access the internet with, not a cult religion!

Read the truth--Firefox Myths:

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/...
I have both firefox and Internet explorer, and in fact, both work excellent.however, firefox works faster while browsing.firefox is being updated almost regularly, and you can have the latest 2.0.0.9 version, with improved effects.so if you are really averse to use Internet explorer, you could be rest assured that firefox will not get infected.you say about something "infected" .then my view is you have to check your p.c and upgrade it.
The reason why firefox is not targeted by hyjackers and hackers is because of it's security hole, why waste time writing a program to hack into firefox when you can just sit and watch, IE on the other hand presents a chalenge to hackers, not only is it the most popular browser, it is also the most secure, malware has to be installed to get past the security, that is why anyone with an ounce of sence, would set up their computer for microsoft automatic updates and do regular scans with spyware and adware programs.

you are having problems with your browser, then what you should have done was asked for our help, most people do not know, because they have been blindsided by firefox, that IE has a newer more up to date version that addresses all the problems associated with the older versions and it has been out for quite some time, it is called IE7.

goto the microsoft IE website and download it, I guarantee that once you have used it, you will join the ranks of the elite and never even think of downloading firefox again.

no nead for tons of space sucking plugins, because IE7 has it all built in standard, and if your browser is running slow, don't automaticaly blame your browser, look at your system, do scans for spyware and viruses, clean out your registry, check to see what programs are running in the background.

Speed up your computer by learning about it, not downloading the biggest security hole the internet has ever offered computer users around the world.

Internet Explorer 7 crashes when I quit. How can I fix this?

My computer has had some problems these days such as a "hard error" and also Internet Explorer crashing. I can live with IE crashing because it only happens when I quit but the hard error is almost like the Blue Screen of Death - I think it IS the Blue Screen of Death.

Internet Explorer 7 crashes when I quit. How can I fix this?windows installer

If you run a virus scan and still can't seem to find the problem, give Firefox a try. This will help you determine if it is the IE7 program or your computer that is the problem. If it is IE7, uninstall it and try a re-installation. You don't specify how old your computer is or any of its specs, so this is the best that I can suggest at this time other than resorting to pretty much purging your pc.

~edit~

If this supposedly occurred when you added the yahoo toolbar, uninstall both the toolbar and IE7 and then reinstall IE7 without the toolbar. It sounds like an unwanted program may have hitched a ride in while you were installing the toolbar. You need to make sure that both programs are completely removed (shredding works well, but only if you are very familiar with your program files). If some bug is in there, it may have corrupted the files of both, so the potential hazards need to be completely purged. It does have something to do with the IE7 and toolbar combination, because errors that occur like this don't occur out of nowhere. If you can't end it that way, you will probably have to resort to the methods listed by the previous answers of wiping your entire computer and starting from scratch (Although it probably is easiest just to reload everything from your most recent system restore point).

Internet Explorer 7 crashes when I quit. How can I fix this?microsoft vista internet explorerWell, the BSOD happens when I start the comptuter but sometimes there's no problem. IE7 did not crash when I disabled some of the Yahoo service add-ons (not the toolbar). Report It

if that blue screen appears, that could be in its worst state.. the best solution is to reformat your pc..
Slow computer IE freezes

==================

Slowly tap the F8 key while the computer is powering up

Just after Verifying DMI files occurs the F8 key will point the computer to a menu where safe mode can be selected.

Note if you mistakenly tap F8 key again, it will continue through to normal boot

Scroll and select safe mode with network

Use explorer to delete the contents of the folder datastore.

Datastore can be found in c:\windows\softwaredistribution.

You may have to do this regularly when the computer slows.

The folder rebuilds itself and the contents are to do with windows updates and logs for errors. There is no harm in deleting the contents.

Reboot.

Also

In IE7 Advance Tab

Click Restore defaults

Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache)

Bullet disable phishing filter

Delete Browser History, cookies the whole lot regularly.

Do all this

Clean Up Computer

===============

Download and run superantispyware. I was put onto this program because of an annoying popup (XP)

http://www.superantispyware.com

Superantispyware is a good program and remember to update it before scanning. A scan may take 45mins.

afterwards clean up the registry with this

Clean up pc and IE

==============

To clean up run this Microsoft鈥檚 windows live program. It does registry, spyware , virus , disk clean up and defrag

It takes 2 hours or more so once it starts to load x file of x you can leave the computer and go to bed etc.

XP Users http://onecare.live.com/site/en-ca/defau...

Vista Users http://onecare.live.com/site/en-ca/cente...

Run the full scanner, then at the end of the scan it asks you to set it running full time.

Think twice about setting it to run in the background as it could be another thing to slow you down. However, it may be worth while if you have no other security programs running.

Consider the following options:

I personally run Norton 360 which is full internet security and run superantispyware when I want to.

So if you don鈥檛 have a decent internet security program then perhaps run the superantispyware with your antivirus in the background.

If you sick of antivirus programs that don鈥檛 work perhaps run onecare full time and run superantispyware whenever.

Now you should be flying and Onecare has even set up a new system restore point for you.

I think you have to change Firefox's network settings. Here is what you do:

1. Start Firefox

2. On the menu bar go to Tools %26gt; Options %26gt; Advanced %26gt; Network tab %26gt; click [Settings] %26gt; under "Configure proxies to access the Internet," select "Direct connection to the Internet."

If you still have problems, drop me an e-mail

Micronsoft Internet Explorer (Not Responding) Error!?

What causes IE to quit repsonding? And what is the once and for all fix? It dosen't matter what web site I'm on,IE still

does this!

Micronsoft Internet Explorer (Not Responding) Error!?windows mobile 6

Many different reasons that IE can quit respondiing. Whats called a "hangup" is the most common. And thats just where too many programs at same time working, and too much happening at once in your system. What makes the "hangup" is that IE has to wait its turn in the lineup of programs or sites that you have clicked on. And if IE doesnt get its turn in a certain amount of time, then it gets the "hangup". There is no "once and for all fix". But just keep making sure to do your updates on a regular basis, defragment your system regularly, and clean out programs you dont need or use. Clean out your cookies, temp files, and all that sort of stuff to keep your system running a little faster. Then the "hangups" are less likely to happen.

Micronsoft Internet Explorer (Not Responding) Error!?microsoft office 2003 internet explorer

Well, this has happened on every machine with Windows XP that I've used. But you may want to check for spyware. Spyware can hijack your web browser, and sometimes they have to process some kind of information. And a lot of it. So it takes a while to load the page, causing IE to freeze.

And I can't guarantee that this is your problem. But that's always been my problem. Try downloading Ad-Aware (there's a free version) or Spybot - Search %26amp; Destroy. =)

Having problems with internet explorer, keeps sending error , any help?

Hi,

I found this in What's New In Mail:

We鈥檙e wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta, and we鈥檒l open up our Beta to their Beta towards the end of this month. Folks on the bleeding edge, please sit tight!

This applies to almost all mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos etc.) and search problems for the last two weeks.

So, It appears we have to un-install these two things or try to work around them

http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/. For different areas of Yahoo!

http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/mail/ext/e...

For those who can't get in at all try this as it seems to be working for a few.

http://myyahoo.com

Login on My Yahoo! page

Select the link at top right to go to Yahoo!'s Home Page.

Mouse over the Mail Icon under where it says (Hi, your Yahoo! id).

You should get a drop down menu with your latest emails displayed.

Select an email and click it. You then get to a new page about Shortcuts, but just select the button for Mail and it should take you to your Mail page.

It wasn't getting redirected to the shortcuts page on some servers and not going to the mail page.

This is also working for some:

Click the "Options" link in the upper right of your Mail page.

On the Options page, in the "Management" column, click on "General Preferences".

Find the "Composing E-mails" section, "Mode:", and choose "Compose messages as plain text".

Scroll to the bottom and click the "Save" button.

Now try it. Can you Compose, Reply to a message or Forward?

This is working for some also:

Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels. Right click on your desktop, click Properties, click the "Settings" tab, left click and hold on the screen resolution bar and drag it all the way to the right, click Apply and click OK.

probably a spy, or a spam, or some of those software thats made for nothing good.. get a firewall, a good antivirus and get "Spybot - search and destroy" software to destroy the spies and things that mess your computer.
Your in a pickle! So many things cause Explorer to go crazy. I have had the SAD experince of this happening to me.

It could be too much Spyware, adware on your computer. about 75% of the time. I thionk it is just a system error. There are ways to fix this. Try System restore. Go to START, PROGRAMS, ACCESORIES, SYSTEM, SYSTEM RESTORE. If that fails try downloading Firefox (www.firefox.com) Good, non-failing browser! I'm using it as I write this.
Try system restore that worked for me when i had it happend.
Dude,it may be because of any change in registry settings of your system,if you already have the backup of registry files, restore it or if it is microsoft XP restore your system to the past date save point..else try reinstall IE or update it with a higher version....if all of this fails its better to install other browsers like netscape navigator or mozilla firefox in your system
If your computer came with a software disk, delete the old internet explorer and re-download it onto your computer. Hope this helps. I had a similar issue when my little boy was messing around with my computer and got everything all jarbled. Good luck!
Well, I've been told that Internet Explorer is really prone to attacks and having problems... But! It could be that your version is not up to date, and maybe you need a better version. Or, maybe you should just get a different internet explorer browser. Netscape and Mozilla Firefox are pretty good.
try upgrading your internet explorer or windows update.

also make sure that your hardware is working fine and your processor is not getting overheated.

Reboot your PC before you do any of this so your sure windows starts clean. Your proxy setting tells windows "WHERE TO GO" like we all don't want to tell windows where to go sometimes.

Go to START, CONTROL PANEL, INTERNET OPTIONS. From the first screen set the home page for you Internet service, like mine is http://www.rr.com/flash/index.cfm. Or try DEFAULT. Next Click on the connections tab. Click on the "never dial a connection" and then click the LAN Settings button. Next click the "Automatically detect setting" and click OK.

Try explorer and see if that helps. If not try this.

Go to control panel and check your Windows Firewall Setting and see if it's set up to allow outgoing and incoming data. Try setting it to OFF and try explorer again.

Last try this. START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, SYSTEM INFORMATION. Click the + beside the Components tab and then click the Problem Devices. This is to see if your NIC card is working. If Windows comes back saying no problems found then it is a problem with your set up of your pop-server and your smtp-server. Call your provider or look on the paperwork from them and they should give you those settings.

Internet Explorer problem-Automatic detect settings keeps getting unchecked/getting the 404 error ms

On internet explorer, I frequently get the 404 error. I go to tools, Internet Options, Connections, Settings, and check Automatically Detect Settings but then it somehow comes unchecked and I get the message all over again. Why does the Internet Explorer keeps having error reports and has to be closed?

So far I haven't had any problems with IE7...though I'm sure somewhere down the line I will. I used to see it every now and then on IE6...but never knew why.

If you haven't updated to IE7 you should do so...but if you actually don't mind not using IE your best choice would probably be Firefox. I've never seen that using Firefox.

Yes I use both IE7 and Firefox. I'm just a dork.

Internet Explorer 7 problem?!?windows firewall internet explorer

We have all been experiencing problems with explorer in the past week. Use Firefox, or Opera.
Try getting all your Microsoft Updates.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
Either download from Windows, then reinstall IE7 or the preferred method is to go with Mozilla Firefox, which is a superior browser.
Have had this problem before. Took care of the problem, by the following method

Go to control panel, click on the system icon, then on the advance tab. Click the setting button for performance. See if in the top part of the window if "Adjust for best performance" is selected. If not click on it. Then Click on the advance tab, and at the bottom of the page click on the "Change" button for the virtual memory section. If "Custom Size" is selected, change it to "System managed size" That should take care of your problem. Also try defraging your computer.
Yeah, as mentioned above, I would download all the latest updates. IE7 also has a feature that lets you reset it completely to it's default state (and removes any plug-ins that could be causing the problem as well). Here's a link with steps on how to do that.. Hope this helps!

How can I stop getting error messages from Internet Explorer when I try to type on my web sitel or e-mail?windows xp professional

Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.

I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.

Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.

Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.

So it's not anything you're doing, your computer, or your internet connection, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you shut down your computer), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag.

Has your ISP provided you with a pop up blocker tool which will stop pop ups.

I have trouble with pop-ups on my computer about the internet explorer? It read error then kick me out. can anwww.microsoft.com internet explorer

First turn on your pop-up blocker in IE. Click on Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Privacy. Check the box to turn it on. Now to clean up your machine from spyware which is most likely causing your pop-ups use the programs below.

I suggest 2 programs. Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware. These programs will be most effective if you run them in Safe Mode. On many computer you can get there by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as soon as your computer starts to boot. Then use your arrow keys to select Safe Mode.

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl... ---- Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

http://www.superantispyware.com/download...

You can also use a program to prevent spyware from being installed in the first place.

Spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers are some of the fastest-growing threats on the Internet today.

By simply browsing to a web page, you could find your computer to be the brand-new host of one of these unwanted fiends!

The most important step you can take is to secure your system. And SpywareBlaster is the most powerful protection program available.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted sites in Internet Explorer.

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareb...
If you have pop-ups you have spyware. pop up blockers just hide the pop ups but do not cure the problem. (your processor will still be very busy dealing with them) go to http://www.download.com/Spyware-Doctor/3...

and download spyware dr (the best spyware scanner %26amp; ive tried them all) Once spyware is deleted your processor will now its full power back to do what you want it to do. Not be constantly busy blocking pop-ups and eventually crash your computer
I think it's too late. You have a bug and I think it's time to reformat. Sorry.
I would suggest you to install Firefox. http://getfirefox.com. It is the secure browser.
do not use I.E anymore start using firefox its much better and no more pop-ups, all the best

have the same trouble someimes --but I all the ISP help support reps. and on my own sometimes I restore to an earlier point by going to help and going into restore to an earlier time, defraf. and empty recycle bin, and u can run CCleaner resgistry disk clean up free at first. Hope u have a nice valentine's day.
use a good browser like mozzilla firefox or opera, both are a lot more secure than microsoft i.e.
just click on don't send an error report , sending one won't help at all
Sometimes it is worth hitting send as it can come up with a solution afterwards - especially if it is as the result of a plug in
re-install the windows
click on ok.But it doesn't help you by doing this!!
i dun understand wat u mean...is it and error or u cant open ur IE?---meaning:when u open ur IE it gives u error saying not responding....anyway there is no different whether u click send or dont send....even though u send it no one would reply ur error report..so choose one..
Perhaps your Internet explorer files corrupted. reinstall it, may be it will work. For it, if you using XP then put XP cd inside your computer and then from there you can only install internet explorer.
Sometimes that happens, a lot of times with me, it is because I have too many things open or I have clicked too fast and not given the computer time to do what I have asked. sometimes a web site is not operational at that time, the owners of the site may be working on the site or the site may have been pulled down for some reason. If I think it is my fault-either because I need to reboot or I have opened too many pages at once, then I click on do not send. If I think there is a conflict between the program I am using and Windows XP then I click on send. It doesn't hurt you either way you do it. Sometimes, there is a conflict between a program and windows and when you click send, it gives Microsoft a chance to look at it and see if they need to make a change. Most times you will find, it is your computer and rebooting will solve the problem. Or try refreshing your page

u need to uninstall the version u got and install another one.. it will remove the problem most probably .. IE 7 has many prob's , so if u want get 6, its older, but has less problems. if u need a link tell me ill give u one... gud luk

and by the way, which IE u got ???
Since you are getting on the internet for this post, i assume you can download some fixes. Put the following onto a CD, and take to the bad PC. Unplug your internet connection, install the programs. Update them. Scan your pc with them.

If you have System Restore turned on, the Restore files may be infected, and trying to reinfect your pc. I turn off that feature, reboot to delete the files, then turn it on after a full system scan with AVG.

AVG Antivirus - Free Antivirus Software

Ad-Aware - Free Antispyware Software

Spybot Search%26amp;Destroy - Free Antispyware/Antitrojan Software

Trend Micro HijackThis - Free program to turn off Browser Hijackers

CW Shredder - Free program to remove the ability of malware to point your browser ot CoolWebSearch and its affiliates

One REALLY great feature of Spybot Search%26amp;Destroy, is its ability to help your PC block known spyware/hijacker sites. Just use the Immunize feature.

If AVG cannot remove a particular virus or trojan, you may need to run it in SAFE MODE. To get to safe mode, restart your PC, hold down the F8 key until the boot menu appears, and choose SAFE MODE.

Hope this helps.
get firefox

www.getfirefox.com
As well as what TNguy said....download Netscape browser...its much better.....
The first thing I would try would be to run your antivirus program and do a complete scan of your computer. Sounds like you might have picked up some kind of nasty. Also, you might try to start your computer in Safe Mode with networking started (if that option is offered to you) and then see if you get the same message. If not, then go to Start/Control Panel/Internet Options and double click on Internet options and go to Advanced options Tab and click on the Reset Tab. (I have Internet Explorer 7 and that is where mine is - you may have to look at a different Tab for yours if you have a different version of IE.) Click on the Reset button and it will reset IE to default settings. Hopefully this will help.

Firefox. One question mark per question works, too.
Ditto on the Firefox. It's all I use now.
As everyone else is saying, try firefox. IE is awful.
Try the firefox browser.

Not only is it extremely popular and safe, it's safer than Windows explorer, you can have several windows open without moving away from your current window (called tabs) but just clicking on the tabs of your other windows at the top, and your current window will just change to that.

Also, you've got a tiny quick search bar on your right, so when you're lazy to go into the search pages just type directly into those.

Firefox can have many 'plug-in's including macromedia flash, quicktime (for online music playing), etc, etc.

Check out their website. It was also voted best by PC magazine and has high user ratings.

Also, it loads pages faster than explorer.

What kinds of files are you trying to play? Is is absolutely necessary to play them in a browser? What is the error being displayed? Is it possible to download these files and play them in a normal media player?

Other good browsers available are Firefox and Opera, you can download and use them for free. You may be missing plugins for IE which may be necessary for playing the files that you want to.

First, you need to check if you are using the latest version of Internet Explorer 7. You want to use the final version and not the beta versions. Go to Microsoft's download site (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa... to download the latest version.

You can try re installing IE 7. In all likelihood, there is some software incompatiblity on your computer. In almost all cases, it is impossible to track down the offending incompatibility. In which case, you are forced to return to IE 6 or use another web browser. You can try Maxthon, an IE 7 clone which offers many features absent in IE 7. In addition, Maxthon is based on IE; so, the look and feel of Maxthon is almost identical to IE 7. The link is (http://www.maxthon.com/). And, of course, Firefox is an excellent alternative as well.

Yahoo Email, Internet Explorer?

When I hit the Compose Icon/Button on Yahoo Email account using Internet Explorer, all of the sudden, the box where I could type things in does not show up. On the Internet Explorer, it said Page Error. Does anyone know how to fix this? It was working earlier this week, except yesterday when the program came up.

Yahoo Email, Internet Explorer?windows nt

Yahoo was having problems yesterday they said. I was going to "forward" an email and got a blank box. Called the tech support and they walked me through downloading the yahoo program again. Now I can't even send email. I too need to know how to fix it. Can't find the way.

You can also run ATF, it will clear all your cache in a couple simple steps.

when i click ctrl alt del go to the processes tab, look for iexplorer.exe or sumthing along that line and click end process. An easier and more efficent way 2 close internet explorer when it freezes. As for ur problem i dont really know it mite be some spyware program that is slowing it down. I have some really strong spyware on my computer and my internet explorer always freezes when i go 2 it. Ive tried to delete it using anti spyware but it just does go away. So i dont use internet explorer anymore i just use firefox, which even though it sucks monkey *** atleast it doesnt freeze. Maybe try running an anti spyware scan on ur computer.
Get Mozilla Firefox its way better.

Click this link to download:http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Mo...

Then click on external mirror 2.
Are you connected to the Internet?

Click Investigate to have the troubleshooter detect this for you. This might take several minutes.

To view Web pages, you must be connected to the Internet using a network adapter or a modem.

To verify that you have an active Internet connection, ping the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your DNS server.

To determine the IP address of your DNS server

Open a Command Prompt window.

At the command prompt, type:

ipconfig /all.

Press ENTER.

The first address listed under DNS Servers is your primary DNS server.

To ping your DNS server

Open a Command Prompt window.

At the command prompt, type:

ping address

where address is the IP address of your DNS server.

Press ENTER.

Note

To open a Command Prompt window, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt. Or, if you have used Command Prompt before, click Start, and then click Command Prompt.

The ping command sends four packets of information to the address you specify, waits for replies, and then displays the results. Near the bottom of the Command Prompt window is a summary similar to the following:

Ping statistics for 207.46.142.46:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 3, Lost = 1 (25% loss),

If three or four packets are received, your Internet connection is working.

If all four packets are lost, you are not connected to the Internet.

If two or three packets are lost, your Internet connection is not working correctly. You might have problems with the hardware that connects you to your Internet service provider (ISP) or local area network (LAN).

For assistance in troubleshooting Internet connection problems, go to the Networking Troubleshooter.

Important

If you go to another troubleshooter, you will leave the Internet Explorer troubleshooter.

Can you ping your DNS server successfully?
Do everything suggested. Clear out your cookies and so on, delete everything in your Temp folder (where your IE writes to), get Firefox as at least a backup AND run an anti-spyware program.

What else I'm going to suggest I'm going to suggest although I haven't used Windows regularly since Windows 98 -- I'm on Linux. There is, I believe an attrib command which you can use to unhide files and directories. Go to C:\DOCUME~1\FRANKJ~1\LOCALS~1\... and run it. First back up everything you can, then try to unhide everything in the directory. If it doesn't look like it belongs there, delete it.

I'm putting some Microsoft Documentation for Attrib on an XP system in sources.

Oh, of course this is something to do in an MS-DOS shell, which means go to the Start button, choose "Run Program" and type "command" and hit enter. But also delete all your temporary Internet files. All of them. And run anti-spyware software.

if you are trying to go to forbidden sites such as gov, fed, it will say forbidden.

if you are trying to go to regular sites such as yahoo , hotmail, google, etc then you will need to disable your antivirusm or maybe your firewall if you have one.

if that doesnt help then its in your in settings, perhaps tcp/ip programming, or just in the propertie settings in your ie.

if you cant seem to solve the prob contact me at compgeek20000@yahoo.com (Chris S.)

Very often iam getting an interuption page which states HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden Internet Explorer, ? help?windows live mail internet explorer

Which website gives you this error?
Dear,

Error Message:

HTTP Error 403 Forbidden Internet Explorer. You Are Not Authorized To View This Page. You Might Not Have Permission To View This Directory Or Page Using The Credentials You Supplied.

Translation:

If you’re a Win98 user accessing the Windows Update Web site, you might get the following message.

The Web server understands the URL but refuses to provide access. This is common when a Web page is intended for personal or “in-house” use (and may be restricted with a password). In other cases, the Webmaster may have configured the desired page improperly. For example, the file may need to be assigned “read permission” for all users. Finally, the Web server may be congested or down for maintenance, prohibiting access to its contents.

Solution:

Clear out your cache by opening the Internet Options dialog box and clicking the Delete Files button on the General tab. Click OK. Click OK to close the dialog box. Go to the Tools menu and select Windows Update.

Try updating Internet Explorer. Some files may be corrupted. Updating will replace those files.

Otherwise it may be malware or a virus. Thry using a virus/spyware guard to get rid of those.

How to fix Internet Explorer problem?

When I close Internet Explorer, the IE creates error that ask me to "send" or "don't snd" to Microsoft, no matter what I click, the IE disappear anyway. It closes all other IE windows on the creen? I already downloaded and installed IE 6 from MS, but still have that problem? How to fix this problem. Thanks

How to fix Internet Explorer problem?microsoft windows xp

Dump I.E. and go with Mozilla Firefox.

How to fix Internet Explorer problem?ie 7 internet explorer

you might need to defragment.
There's IE 7 out already.

And download Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

IE has a lot of security threats. It's not safe anymore. Use Firefox
Use FireFox - no more IE problems.
i had a similar problem, i unistalled IE completely, to IE5 then restarted n re-installed IE 6.1. i think the problem with my pc was o/a software autoupdate from microsoft site. something on the site is not proper
ie causes holes in you internet it was in yahoo news a few weekes ago they say they have a patch now but i dumped then and got FireFox
Most problems with the explorer I've seen are because some other software using the resources that the explorer need, this add ware, search bars, companions and crap make more complicated for the SysOp to close the application. Rather than reinstall or overwrite newer versions, you should install the trash software you have on your hard drive, run an spy ware application, a full scan from your anti virus, and after that, clear all your temporal directories from Internet and windows.

I hope it helped you, if you need further assistance send me an IM
It is maybe because of a spyware corrupted your IE, try doenloading some antispyware program like Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ), Spybot SD (http://www.safer-networking.org/ ), etc.

or try alternative browsers like Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/ [Recommended]), Opera (http://www.opera.com/ ), etc

to webjnke: it is not likely that defragmentation would help, I'm sure defragmentation would just be a waste of time.

to bankscalade: IE7 is still in a VERY unstable beta, and is VERY buggy, it's only directed for web designer who wants to ensure future comaptibility of their website with IE7, IT IS NOT FOR GENERAL USE, Microsoft admitted that themself.

to Worry?: Unfortunatly, since Miscrosoft glued IE with our beloved OS, Windows, it is impossible to run windows correctly with IE uninstalled (well, there is actually no way to uninstall it anyway without breaking windows)
