What causes IE to quit repsonding? And what is the once and for all fix? It dosen't matter what web site I'm on,IE still

does this!

Many different reasons that IE can quit respondiing. Whats called a "hangup" is the most common. And thats just where too many programs at same time working, and too much happening at once in your system. What makes the "hangup" is that IE has to wait its turn in the lineup of programs or sites that you have clicked on. And if IE doesnt get its turn in a certain amount of time, then it gets the "hangup". There is no "once and for all fix". But just keep making sure to do your updates on a regular basis, defragment your system regularly, and clean out programs you dont need or use. Clean out your cookies, temp files, and all that sort of stuff to keep your system running a little faster. Then the "hangups" are less likely to happen.

Well, this has happened on every machine with Windows XP that I've used. But you may want to check for spyware. Spyware can hijack your web browser, and sometimes they have to process some kind of information. And a lot of it. So it takes a while to load the page, causing IE to freeze.

And I can't guarantee that this is your problem. But that's always been my problem. Try downloading Ad-Aware (there's a free version) or Spybot - Search %26amp; Destroy. =)
