Internet Explorer 7 problem?!?

Whenever I close Internet Explorer, the page will go blank and freeze for a second. Then, a message will pop up that says "Internet Explorer is experiencing an error. Do you wish to send an error report?".

I'll just click No, and within seconds Internet Explorer will shut down. This is such a pain! Any explanations?

(I've only had my laptop for a little over a month so I shouldn't be having these problems!)

Try switching to a new browser. If you don't like the new browser just uninstall it. Or you can try what the person above me said. good luck!! Here's a list of alternatives to internet explorer::

We have all been experiencing problems with explorer in the past week. Use Firefox, or Opera.
Try getting all your Microsoft Updates.

Either download from Windows, then reinstall IE7 or the preferred method is to go with Mozilla Firefox, which is a superior browser.
Have had this problem before. Took care of the problem, by the following method

Go to control panel, click on the system icon, then on the advance tab. Click the setting button for performance. See if in the top part of the window if "Adjust for best performance" is selected. If not click on it. Then Click on the advance tab, and at the bottom of the page click on the "Change" button for the virtual memory section. If "Custom Size" is selected, change it to "System managed size" That should take care of your problem. Also try defraging your computer.
Yeah, as mentioned above, I would download all the latest updates. IE7 also has a feature that lets you reset it completely to it's default state (and removes any plug-ins that could be causing the problem as well). Here's a link with steps on how to do that.. Hope this helps!
