Dump I.E. and go with Mozilla Firefox.

How to fix Internet Explorer problem?ie 7 internet explorer

you might need to defragment.
There's IE 7 out already.

And download Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

IE has a lot of security threats. It's not safe anymore. Use Firefox
Use FireFox - no more IE problems.
i had a similar problem, i unistalled IE completely, to IE5 then restarted n re-installed IE 6.1. i think the problem with my pc was o/a software autoupdate from microsoft site. something on the site is not proper
ie causes holes in you internet it was in yahoo news a few weekes ago they say they have a patch now but i dumped then and got FireFox
Most problems with the explorer I've seen are because some other software using the resources that the explorer need, this add ware, search bars, companions and crap make more complicated for the SysOp to close the application. Rather than reinstall or overwrite newer versions, you should install the trash software you have on your hard drive, run an spy ware application, a full scan from your anti virus, and after that, clear all your temporal directories from Internet and windows.

I hope it helped you, if you need further assistance send me an IM
It is maybe because of a spyware corrupted your IE, try doenloading some antispyware program like Ad-Aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ), Spybot SD (http://www.safer-networking.org/ ), etc.

or try alternative browsers like Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/ [Recommended]), Opera (http://www.opera.com/ ), etc

to webjnke: it is not likely that defragmentation would help, I'm sure defragmentation would just be a waste of time.

to bankscalade: IE7 is still in a VERY unstable beta, and is VERY buggy, it's only directed for web designer who wants to ensure future comaptibility of their website with IE7, IT IS NOT FOR GENERAL USE, Microsoft admitted that themself.

to Worry?: Unfortunatly, since Miscrosoft glued IE with our beloved OS, Windows, it is impossible to run windows correctly with IE uninstalled (well, there is actually no way to uninstall it anyway without breaking windows)
