I keeping getting error messeges from internet explorer that tell i.e has to shut down?

hi...your infected with a spyware,trojan...i suggest you to have a antivirus with a spyware scanner then scan your system...be sure that the anti virus/antispyware is up to date...then scan your pc...if your I.E still got a problem try uninstalling it then reinstall to do it:

1.go to control panel

2. select add/remove programs

3.then at the left side panel you will see some button...choose "add/remove windows component...then a pop up windows appear...

4. uncheck INTERNET EXPLORER then

5.click next....

your IE is now uninstalled from your system..now reboot your system...

after restarting your pc...go back again to the procedure...but now try to CHECK internet explorer so you will install it again..

also a suggestion try Mozilla too..its better you have more than one INTERNET BROSWER...its come in handy....especially I.E always have a problem....

I think this is an IE7 thing. They still haven't worked out the bugs yet. Try going back to IE6 with the updates and you won't get unexpected shutdowns. If you REALLY like the tabbed browsing, try Firefox.
