I need to know if I can uninstall xp pro and install xp home edition instead...I'm having way too many issues with internet explorer as far as the error messages...it's too the point that no programs that are supported by explorer work...I tried uninstalling explorer and reinstalling and get the same error messages. I even emailed microsoft and told them my issue...they sent me back links that cause explorer to not open them...

Switching versions is not your answer and if you have reinstalled the browser with no success, i think your problem is lying with the O.S. I would try to restore XP to a previous date before the problem occurred. I have seen Windows Updates corrupt IE 6 and IE 7. I dont know exactly what the problem or error messages your having are so i can't elaborate on that any further. If the restore does not work, I would do a repair.
