My Internet Explorer is messd up bad!?

I dont even open up explorer, and a pop up that sais internet explorer must close send error report pops up every 2 seconds. I cant go on Mozilla either, this pop up prevents me from doin anything at all! Please help

I asked on Yahoo Questions and ppl told me to go to START menu and update IE.......It didnt work though.

u need to uninstall the version u got and install another one.. it will remove the problem most probably .. IE 7 has many prob's , so if u want get 6, its older, but has less problems. if u need a link tell me ill give u one... gud luk

Since you are getting on the internet for this post, i assume you can download some fixes. Put the following onto a CD, and take to the bad PC. Unplug your internet connection, install the programs. Update them. Scan your pc with them.

If you have System Restore turned on, the Restore files may be infected, and trying to reinfect your pc. I turn off that feature, reboot to delete the files, then turn it on after a full system scan with AVG.

If AVG cannot remove a particular virus or trojan, you may need to run it in SAFE MODE. To get to safe mode, restart your PC, hold down the F8 key until the boot menu appears, and choose SAFE MODE.

The first thing I would try would be to run your antivirus program and do a complete scan of your computer. Sounds like you might have picked up some kind of nasty. Also, you might try to start your computer in Safe Mode with networking started (if that option is offered to you) and then see if you get the same message. If not, then go to Start/Control Panel/Internet Options and double click on Internet options and go to Advanced options Tab and click on the Reset Tab. (I have Internet Explorer 7 and that is where mine is - you may have to look at a different Tab for yours if you have a different version of IE.) Click on the Reset button and it will reset IE to default settings. Hopefully this will help.
